Fundamental Skillz have had a quiet month after an eventful period towards the end of June and beginning of July.
The band had been putting final touches to the songs they are currently recording with Mark Ralph, "the Bull of Love", in his Queens Park London studios. The band are recording five new songs which they show-cased at Glastonbury and Zoo Festival over the summer. Recording commenced on 30 August 2008 and will finish on Wednesday, 03 September 2008.
Once the five songs have been recorded, Fundamental Skillz will add the four songs from their End of the Line EP to make a full album, which, at present, is untitled.
In other news, Fundamental Skillz have entered the Orange Unsigned Act competition for 2008 in an attempt to win a recording deal with Universal Studios. 50 Successful bands will be chosen from thousands through a voting process by fans and a panel of judges consisting of Jo Whiley. Simon Gavin and Alex James from Blur. The chosen bands will be given the opportunity to perform in front of the judges in an X-Factor style audition which will be featured on channel four.
